Text Box: This is the time of the year that the trail work is starting to pick up in quantity. Many of the farmer’s fields are being harvested, hence clearing the way for the trail signs to be installed. Volunteers are needed for the sign installation. There are over 400 stakes that need to be pounded into the ground, and signs need to be attached to these stakes. If you are interested in giving a hand, please contact any of the trail captains. They are as follows for the corresponding areas:
Rick Engasser, State Forest: 716-863-3363
Bob Rodgers, Cherry Creek: 716-450-5454
Stan Dybka, Cherry Text Box: Creek
Jeff Contino, Forestville:
George Booker, Silver Creek:
Roger Witt, Cassadaga:
Larry Engasser, State Forest: 716-983-2282
We have also been working on a new trail. A 50+ foot stretch trailer was installed and a bridge deck was attached to it. This new trail will create another way to access Cassadaga. With another access point, this will ease the traffic on other trails, or make it easier to create that afternoon trail ride loop.
Getting out and doing trail work is a rewarding feeling. There are many Text Box: things that you can accomplish with trail work. You can get that family outing in, walk the dog, get some exercise, or simply enjoy the beauty our area offers.
There are many different things in the woods and trail that we often pass over when traveling on a snowmobile at 30+ M.P.H. Why not stop and enjoy nature, and give our trail captains a hand putting in the stakes and putting up the signs. All this helps in making the trails so that all snowmobilers can safely follow our trail system and enjoy everything that our trail system offers!

Text Box: A new look - Change
Here it is October and change is all around. Frost, colorful leaves, crop harvests… all signs that the snow is just around the corner. Even the Farmer’s Almanac says change - winter is Text Box: the North East is predicted to be long, cold and deep! Just how a snowmobiler or winter enthusiast likes it.
With this in mind, preparation rime is here. First, the trail situation. Enhancement of safe riding Text Box: is the goal here with crews out working many weeks already. Tree pruning is in full swing now to better define the trail locations. Following closely to this phase will be signage
